The Halverson Institute
For Applied Social Research
Support Independent Research

Your gift sustains 39 years of nonpartisan social research.

The Halverson Institute is an independent 501(c)(3) research organization. We accept no funding from political campaigns, party committees, or organizations whose primary purpose is electoral advocacy. Roughly 38% of our annual operating budget comes from private gifts, with the remainder supplied by program-restricted grants from a small number of foundation and federal funders.

Contributions support our long-running longitudinal studies — including the Upper Midwest Cohort Study, now in its sixth wave — as well as the early-career research fellowships and open methodological resources that the institute makes freely available to the wider scholarly community.

The Halverson Institute is recognized as a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. EIN 36-3548119. Gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.
